Site Description
The bustling metropolis of Pease (population: just over 200) is located in Central Minnesota, roughly an hour north of Minneapolis/St. Paul, and 30 minutes from anywhere. What we lack in people we make up for in livestock, wild animals, and tractors. Jokes aside, Pease CRC is closing in on 130 years as a thriving faith community where our congregation can easily double the size of the population of the city on any given Sunday. Our church family looks forward to welcoming all SERVE participants in partnering with us to expand our community outreach and share the love of Christ with those in Pease and the surrounding cities.
SERVE Projects
We will be partnering with local Christian schools to assist with facility upkeep and other projects. In addition, Pease is located in a county that is facing challenges due to an aging population and low household incomes. As a result, we will work with local non-profit organizations, city and county governments and park services, and individual residents to complete a wide variety of projects.

Facilities
We will be splitting time between Pease CRC and Community Christian School. We will eat and worship at the church and sleep and have free time at the school. While the church does have AC, the sleeping areas do not. Showers are located at a local public school about 5 minutes away.
Day Away
Lake Day! We will head to Mille Lacs Lake for a true Minnesotan lake day – kayaks, canoes, boats for skiing and other water sports, as well as games and activities on the shore.
Cell Phone Policy
Cell phones are not allowed during the SERVE week at this site for students. Cell phones may be used during the travel from your church to the SERVE site, but then are not allowed to be used during the SERVE week. Adult leaders will have their cell phones during the week.
Transportation
Registration fees do NOT include transportation to and from the sites. Each church group must provide vehicle(s) and adult driver(s) for the entire mission experience regardless of whether you fly or drive to the site. The vehicles you bring will be used to transport small groups to the work site each day, so 12-passenger vans, SUVs, or mini-vans are preferred. Cars do not facilitate the transportation of an entire small group in one vehicle, so please do not bring them. If you wish to bring a bus, please check with the Host Team to see if this is acceptable before you make arrangements. If your group is unable to provide van transportation, please have a youth leader call the ThereforeGo Ministries office to discuss options and additional potential charges.
Nearest Airport
Minneapolis–Saint Paul (MSP) international is just over an hour away, and offers the most flight options. Regional airports – St. Cloud and Brainerd, are much smaller and offer few flights. Please DO NOT book airfare until you have received email confirmation from ThereforeGo Ministries that you have been placed at this site.
