Site Description
Imagine wide open skies, beautiful sunsets, and plenty of small-town hospitality! Farming is a big part of life here, and the tight-knit rural communities are apart of Minnesota that many visitors don’t get to see. While we’re in the prairie region of the state, we’re also just south of some of the many lakes Minnesota is famous for!
During your time here, you’ll have the opportunity to serve in several different communities, while also enjoying the outdoors, taking in a few beautiful sunsets, and spending some time by the water. Come join us this summer as we serve, worship, build community, and make memories!
SERVE Projects
You will be partnering with local churches to serve people in their communities and congregations as you assist with yard work, painting, cleaning, and spending time with senior citizens. We will also partner with local ministries to support them in the work they are already doing each day!
In partnership with local churches and organizations in and near:
Clara City and Raymond, MN
Facilities
We will be staying at Raymond CRC. Sleeping space will be church classrooms. We do have A/C!
Day Away
Lake Day- swimming, boating, games, cookout
Transportation
Registration fees do NOT include transportation to and from the sites. Each church group must provide vehicle(s) and adult driver(s) for the entire mission experience regardless of whether you fly or drive to the site. The vehicles you bring will be used to transport small groups to the work site each day, so 12-passenger vans or mini-vans are preferred. Cars do not facilitate the transportation of an entire small group in one vehicle, so please do not bring them. If you wish to bring a bus, please check with the Host Team to see if this is acceptable before you make arrangements. If your group is unable to provide van transportation, please have a youth leader call the ThereforeGo Ministries office to discuss options and additional charges.
Nearest Airport
Minneapolis/St.Paul (MSP). Please DO NOT book airfare until you have received email confirmation from ThereforeGo Ministries that you have been placed at this site.
Cell Phone Policy
Undetermined
This site has not yet determined if students will be allowed to have their cell phones during the SERVE week. Adult leaders will be allowed to have their cell phones during the week.
