Site Description
In Salt Lake City, Utah, you will experience the best of glorious mountains, high desert climate, and a culture unique to any other part of the country. The city of 1.2 million people, is the home of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, a world-wide religious movement started by Joseph Smith in 1830. As a small, vibrant Christian congregation, Mountain Springs Community Church seeks to love God and love our neighbors. Within our DNA is a desire to reach out to our community through service. Our mission is to see life flowing from the heart of Christ, through the heart of his people, into the heart of the world. Let your heart be changed in Salt Lake City this summer!
Attendees will sleep at the air conditioned Mountain Springs Community Church. Showers will happen at a nearby recreation center.
We will explore beUTAHful mountains with a hike in the morning and a floating tube trip down a refreshing river in the afternoon on our day away.
Get Directions
Registration fees do NOT include transportation to and from the sites. Each church group must provide vehicle(s) and adult driver(s) for the entire mission experience regardless of whether you fly or drive to the site. The vehicles you bring will be used to transport small groups to the work site each day, so 12-passenger vans or mini-vans are preferred. Cars do not facilitate the transportation of an entire small group in one vehicle, so please do not bring them. If you wish to bring a bus, please check with the Host Team to see if this is acceptable before you make arrangements. If your group is unable to provide van transportation, please have a youth leader call the ThereforeGo Ministries office to discuss options and additional charges.
The nearest airport will be Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC). Please DO NOT book airfare until you have received email confirmation from ThereforeGo Ministries that you have been placed at this site.
