Site Description
First Christian Reformed Church is located in Lynden Washington. Being perfectly nestled in the Pacific Northwest, Lynden is right between the Cascade Mountains and the Pacific Ocean. There are a couple of Christian Retreat Centers in the area and a number of organizations that support low income families and homeless individuals. We would love to have you join us as we go out and serve the wonderful people in our community.
First Christian Reformed Church will be the host. Participants will eat, worship, and sleep at the church. There are two sleeping areas, our youth group area (The Loft) and classrooms in our education building in the basement. Participants will shower at the local High School (located just 5 minutes away from the church).
A/C is available in The Loft
There is no A/C in the basement rooms as it is usually not necessary.
Northwest Washington is a beautiful area with a lot to offer! Participants will spend the day exploring the great outdoors as we are nestled right between the ocean and the mountains.
Get Directions
Registration fees do NOT include transportation to and from the sites. Each church group must provide vehicle(s) and adult driver(s) for the entire mission experience regardless of whether you fly or drive to the site. The vehicles you bring will be used to transport small groups to the work site each day, so 12-passenger vans or mini-vans are preferred. Cars do not facilitate the transportation of an entire small group in one vehicle, so please do not bring them. If you wish to bring a bus, please check with the Host Team to see if this is acceptable before you make arrangements. If your group is unable to provide van transportation, please have a youth leader call the ThereforeGo Ministries office to discuss options and additional charges.
Bellingham International Airport (BLI) located 30 minutes south of Lynden, -or- Vancouver International Airport (YVR) located 1 hour north of Lynden, -or- Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA), located 2 hours south of Lynden. Please DO NOT book airfare until you have received email confirmation from ThereforeGo Ministries that you have been placed at this site.
